This page explains what personal information Wick & Co collects when you use our website or book a stay with us, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. This page is maintained by Wick & Co.

Who we are

Wick & Co is a small hospitality brand that curates and runs a collection of short-stay homes across the South West of England. For the purposes of UK GDPR we are the data controller for the information described on this page.

You can reach us at any time via our contact page.

What we collect

When you send us an enquiry, register your interest in a home that is coming soon, or make a booking, we collect the details you give us. That typically means your name, email address, phone number, dates of travel, guest numbers and any notes you add to the message.

When you visit our website we also collect a small amount of technical information about your device and how you use the site, so we can keep it working well. See the Cookies page for the detail.

We do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use it

We use the information you give us to reply to your enquiry, arrange and manage your stay, keep you updated about the home you booked, and stay in touch when a home you registered interest in becomes available.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing email unless you have specifically asked us to.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the trusted service providers we need to run the business. That includes the platforms we use to send email, take payment, host the website and manage housekeeping. Each of those providers is bound by their own contracts and only sees what they need to do their job.

We will share information with law enforcement or other authorities only when required to do so by law.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for seven years after they are completed, cancelled or refunded so we can meet accounting, tax and dispute obligations. After that period, our scheduled retention process removes guest contact and billing details, private notes, messages and other direct account links while retaining non-identifying transaction evidence.

Expired sign-in sessions and verification tokens are removed routinely. We may retain information for longer where a legal hold or unresolved claim requires it, and we remove other enquiry information when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to object to certain uses of it. Send us a note via the contact page and we will help.

You also have the right to make a complaint to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
